Congregational Update: October 31, 2025

Dear Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ione & Clint Gjerde and family at the death of her sister, Phyllis Norton.

SATURDAY, Nov. 1st: Turn your clocks back an hour so that you can get an extra hour of sleep and then you can be wide awake for church in the morning, and not fall asleep during the sermon. : )

Sunday, Nov. 2nd ALL SAINTS DAY 

• 9am Worship & Sunday School
• 10am Choir, Coffee & Treats

Wednesday: 

• 5:30pm Men in Mission at FLC (NOTE TIME CHANGE!) 
• 6pm Confirmation @ Our Savior’s. Meal 5:30pm
• 6pm Hi League at FLC

ALL AGES are invited to meet our Northwest Synod of WI Bishop (DISH WITH THE BISH) on Wednesday, Nov. 5th, from 5:30-7:30pm at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, and is guaranteed to be a great time. 

• 5:30pm dinner
• Service project at 6:15, 
• 7pm  Q & A with Bishop Martin Halom. It will be a great event for our confirmation students to participate in, and we encourage ALL congregation members to join as they are able.

CONFIRMANDS, PARENTS & MENTORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

Summer COLORADO TRIP for youth 8-12th in July- please talk with Pastor Tim if interested.

OUR CHURCH IN SOCIETY COMMITTEE in collaboration with Willows Foster Closet will again be collecting NEW PAJAMAS for Kids in foster care in Polk County. Toddler through adult plus sizes are needed. Please wrap them or place in a gift bag, tag it by gender or unisex, and state the size. THANK YOU!
 
Thinking ahead: If you are considering scrip gifts for Christmas, please talk to the Men in Mission soon. They can get gift cards in any amount if you let them know in advance! They are happy to help!

Looking ahead: It will soon be time for POINSETTIAS!  You are free to bring in a poinsettia of your choosing. (We will not be ordering through the office.) Please let the office know who you wish to honor or remember with your floral gift.

LUTHER POINT BIBLE CAMP Annual Meeting to Sunday, November 16th at 2pm. Is anyone interested in being our representative at that meeting? Please let the office know as soon as possible and we'll let Luther Point know you're coming.
