From Amery American Legion: The Amery American Legion Post 169 seeks your assistance indentifying Veterans in need of financial assistance.  Since 1919, the Amery American Legion has assisted local Veterans. Our Veterans tend to be too proud to request assistance, making it difficult to identify those in need.  Once a veteran has been identified, our committee will determine if we can assist.  This assistance would involve direct payments to providers, not cash payments to the Veteran.  Examples of financial assistance we have provided in the past were helping with heating costs, car repairs, gas gift cards involving medical appointments, medical bills, etc. If you identify a Veteran in need, please contact Commander Mark Starsky at 612-237-9747.
